How to Wear a Brazilian Bikini
SIZES Pequeno (Small): 0-3 Jrs. Médio (Medium): 4-5 Jrs. Grande (Large): 6-7 Jrs.
This chart is more a suggestion than a rule, if you are used to thongs and would like to wear the bikini very small, go one size smaller, if you feel more comfortable with more coverage go one size larger. The bikinis may vary slightly in size and cut.
BOTTOMS All the bottoms are to be worn very low on the hips and offer minimal coverage. In the Surfer Girl cut the bottoms are not adjustable and offer more coverage on front and back. String Tie Bottoms have the smallest cut of them all and ties on both sides on hips. Chunky Tie Bottoms are slightly bigger. One Side Tie Bottom is to be worn super low and adjusts on only one side. All Adjustable One Side Tie Bottom allows you to adjust the size of the front and back and ties on one side with a long band, it's the hottest style for the Summer 2008/09.
TOPS Most tops tie in back and neck. They are not padded unless stated otherwise. The Sliding Triangle Top is perfect for small breast or larger breasts that don't need much support. The fixed or sliding Halter Tops offer more support and coverage. The Strapless Twist Bandeau - Twist-front bandeau bikini top ties at the back and features lightly padded cups.
Clearing up the most common Myths on Brazilian Bikinis
Myth #1 Brazilian Bikinis are thongs. False. While some might still associate the Brazilian bikini with a dental floss-size thong, today's Brazilian briefs incorporate much more fabric, measuring a comparatively modest 4 inches across the rear. And for the beachgoer with an active lifestyle, there are also boy-cut briefs and halter tops that offer support (especially great for surfer girls and beach volleyball players).
Myth #2 My butt is too big/too small/not firm enough. I can’t wear a Brazilian Bikini. Further research on the Brazilian bikini dispels the myth that you have to have a great rear to look good in the famous two-piece swimsuit. Contrary to popular belief, fashion experts say the reason women who wear Brazilians bikinis appear to have flawless butts is because of the bathing suit's cut. Unlike its American counterpart, the Brazilian bikini does not incorporate excess fabric that can sag or bunch up, rather its cut helps lift up a woman's rear, much like a great pair of jeans.
Myth #3 My boobs are too big for a Brazilian Bikinis top. This one may be true, Brazilian Bikini tops don’t offer a lot of support, the halter top may offer enough coverage for large fake boobs but the ladies who were blessed with natural twins may have problems finding a good fit.
